Can I get same-day delivery in Lyon?
Yes! During a heatwave, we know every hour counts. Same-day delivery (day 0) is possible subject to availability, often within a few hours. Decreasing urgency fees apply for deliveries on day 0, day 1 and day 2, then disappear entirely from day 3 onward. Book early in the day to maximise your chances of being delivered the same evening.
What's your delivery area in and around Lyon?
We deliver your air conditioner to your door across all of Lyon (1st to 9th arrondissement) and the nearby suburbs, up to 20 km from our Oullins depot. Delivery is a flat €17.99 for Lyon and the closest towns (Oullins, Pierre-Bénite, Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, Saint-Genis-Laval, Francheville, Chaponost, Brignais, Irigny) and a flat €39.99 for the other towns in the zone (Villeurbanne, Vénissieux, Bron…) — in both cases plus €5 per additional air conditioner. How much does it cost to rent a portable AC unit?
The base rate is €34/day, and it drops sharply with longer rentals thanks to our automatic discounts: -24% for 3 days, -41% for a week, -50% for two weeks and up to -63% for a month (i.e. under €13/day). The longer you rent, the less you pay per day. The total is calculated live at booking, with no hidden fees.
How does the deposit work?
No money is held or charged. At booking, your bank card is simply saved securely (deposit of up to €200 per air conditioner). We only charge it in the event of damage or non-return of the equipment, with supporting evidence. If there's no incident, nothing is charged and your card is no longer used after the unit is returned. You only pay for the rental.
What's the minimum rental period?
The minimum period is 1 day, and the maximum is entirely up to you: one day, a week, a month or the whole summer. You can pick specific dates to suit your needs. The longer the rental, the lower the daily rate — ideal for staying cool all summer without buying an AC unit.
Which AC model should I choose for my space?
Our portable units are sized for Lyon homes. Our high-performance model comfortably handles a 20–30 m² room (bedroom, living room, office). Not sure how many you need? Tell us your surface area and we'll point you to the right quantity.
Do you install the AC unit at home?
Yes. You can install it yourself (it's simple and tool-free, we'll show you how), or choose the installation by our team for €30 + €5 per additional unit. We position the unit, fit the exhaust hose and the window sealing kit, and check everything works before we leave.
Does a portable AC use a lot of electricity?
Our units are recent and optimised. A portable air conditioner uses on average about as much as a large home appliance and remains far cheaper than installing fixed air conditioning. To limit consumption: close shutters and windows during the hottest hours and only cool the rooms you use.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is 100% online and secure by bank card via Stripe. You pay for the full rental at booking (rental + delivery + any installation), with no deposit instalment or balance on delivery. You receive your confirmation by email straight away.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes. Contact us as early as possible: as long as delivery hasn't taken place, we do our utmost to change your dates or refund you in line with our terms and conditions. Our goal: keep the rental simple and stress-free.
